Our Founder Matanna Katz commissioned the talented baker Yolandi Heyneke to 

create a "naked cake" version of one of her signature caramel cakes in celebration of her birthday. 

Inspired by the drought, Matanna then decorated the top of the cake with dried rose leaves from her garden and organic bees wax candles made by "OVO Things".

 

This resulted in a minimal and natural looking cake creation.
